Marie Těthalová vystudovala speciální pedagogiku, pracuje jako šéfredaktorka časopisu Informatorium 3-8 a knižní redaktorka nakladatelství Portál. Za své rozhovory na téma zdravotního postižení obdržela dvě ocenění Vládního výboru pro zdravotně postižené občany.
