Created in 1973–74 and previously unpublished in English in its entirety, Circus Sideshow , by Czech-born American photojournalist Antonin Kratochvil (born 1947), offers an amazing pageant of tightrope walkers, jugglers, snake women, giants, dwarves, contortionists and fire eaters at a circus in Gibsonton, Florida, a small coastal town near Tampa. The town was then known as a winter vacation hotspot for circuses, a place to recharge before setting out on their spring and summer cross-country tours. Visiting the mobile homes, caravans and trailers of the performers, and walking through their narrow alleys and circus tents, Kratochvil was able to photograph freely and intimately, and his black-and-white photographs testify to his vision of them as people expelled from society, but [who] were able to maintain their dignity. In 1974 he sent his photographs to the New York editorial office of American Photo , which the magazine’s art director, Jean-Jacques Naudet, printed as a ten-page report. Circus Sideshow documents an amazing lost American subculture.

Katalog k výstavě Josef Achrer – Dataismus a infomanická společnost, která se konala ve dnech 6. 4. – 14. 5. 2016 v Galerii Zdeněk Sklenář v Praze a na níž autor vedle obrazů poprvé představil i svůj manifest dataismu. Díla patří do cyklu DATA inspirovaného autorovým pobytem v Pekingu, „městě plném kontrastů, energie a světa RGB“ (jak sám říká), který navštívil v roce 2013. Později začal vytvářet záměrně deformované obrazy. V originálně graficky upravené publikaci RGB3D / 01 / DATA / 240X169, 5MM / 2015 / 16 jsou Achrerova díla uvedena textem významného čínského historika umění Lü Penga a doprovází je i krátký text jejich autora. Katalog byl oceněn v soutěži Nejkrásnější české knihy roku 2016, kde získal 1. místo v kategorii Katalogy a Cenu Ministerstva kultury ČR, za „... mimořádně moderně a přesně uchopený koncept grafického řešení, které propojuje Achrerovu abstraktní tvorbu do reflexu papírových stránek katalogu“ (Petr Krejzek, člen výtvarné komise).

Vznik knihy „500 hodin k vítězství“ iniciovalo město Plzeň ve snaze připomínat úlohu amerických vojsk při osvobozování českého západu i západní Evropy od nacismu v letech 2. světové války. Kniha je sestavena v prvé řadě ze vzpomínek pamětníků – válečných veteránů, kteří se podíleli na osvobozování Čech. Nalezneme mezi nimi pěšáky, zdravotníky, tankisty, letce. Jejich často emotivně laděné vyprávění čtenáře zavede do doby, kdy se oblasti západních Čech i samotné Plzeňsko proměnily v místa, kde vrcholil mocenský zápas mezi Velkoněmeckou říší a demokratickým Západem. Výpovědi amerických válečných veteránů, od r. 1990 opakovaně se do Plzně vracejících, doplňuje velké množství dobových fotografií, vztahující se většinou ke konkrétním osobám.
