Zásadní kniha o světově proslulé brněnské vile Tugendhat vychází zároveň v češtině i anglicky. Vila Tugendhat v Brně, vybudovaná v letech 1928–1930 současně se známým pavilonem Barcelona, byla postavena na zakázku továrníků Grety a Fritze Tugendhatových. Architekt Ludwig Mies van der Rohe z Berlína mohl touto stavbou poprvé uskutečnit své průkopnické myšlenky plynoucího prostoru s moderními prostředky ocelové konstrukce a obrovských, částečně spouštěcích oken. Tyto myšlenky se staly inspirací pro práce mnoha architektů následujících generací. Vila Tugendhat patří k inkunábulím dějin moderní architektury a byla v roce 2001 zapsána na seznam kulturních památek světového dědictví organizace UNESCO.
