Autoři Jack Horsfall a Nigel Cave v knize „Cambrai – Pravý hák: Hindenburgova linie“ z cyklu Bojiště Evropy popisují boje u francouzského města Cambrai na konci roku 1917 a v září roku 1918. Jsou zde dopodrobna vylíčeny události na pravém křídle v průběhu britské listopadové ofenzivy a následné německé protiofenzivy, tvrdé boje novozélandské divize o necelý rok později, nechybí ani příběhy o hrůzách z roku 1914, kdy oblast obsadili postupující Němci. V textu se výstižně prolínají popisy masových operací s aktivitami malých skupin ba i jedinců, kteří se velkou měrou zasadili o výsledek bitvy. A v neposlední řadě je zde zhodnoceno první masové nasazení nové zbraně – tanků, operujících v průběhu ofenzivy jako předvoj pěchoty.
