Otcův stav je ale natolik neúnosný, že nic se už nedá vrátit nazpátek a zůstává jen úkol, zařídit nutné změny nejméně bolestivým způsobem. Trpké drama rozpadu rodiny, celoživotního nepochopení a vzájemného míjení generací, je syrovým ironickým obrazem mezilidských vztahů v současné značně cynické společnosti.
