This work is dedicated to Ukraine’s 2013-2014 Revolution of Dignity and Democracy, which began in Kyiv’s Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square), a historic site for democratic mobilization. The Revolution transformed Maidan from a gathering place into a powerful movement demanding political accountability. Mass protests led to the ousting of the corrupt President and the rise of opposition leaders. Through vivid photographs and insightful text, this book documents Euromaidan as a significant historical event, embodying shared values and creative expression. It features compelling images captured by Ukrainian photographers from November 2013 to February 2014. The book opens with two articles: historian Yaroslav Hrytsak discusses the Revolution's sources and causes, while philosopher Taras Liutyi examines the Maidan's myths. Additional resources include a chronology of events, a map of the Maidan, and a list of those who lost their lives during the protests. This evocative hardback album draws from the archives of over 600 photographers, both professional and amateur, showcasing their powerful contributions to the visual narrative of this pivotal moment in Ukraine's history.
