This book is a revised edition of the best-selling A Concordance to the Greek Testament, originally published in 1897 and continuously in print since. It serves as an essential tool for New Testament students. The original edition was based on the Greek text of Westcott and Hort, including variants from Tischendorf and the Greek text underlying the Revised Version of the English Bible. It provided grammatical completeness in quotations and included the Hebrew text for direct Old Testament quotes. Asterisks and daggers indicated whether vocabulary items were found in Classical Greek and the Septuagint. The new edition maintains these features but is primarily based on The Greek New Testament (4th edition), which aligns with Novum Testamentum Graece (27th edition), the two most widely used Greek New Testament editions today. It incorporates key marginal readings from the former text and preserves references to variants in older editions, ensuring students have access to all potential readings of the New Testament text. The Supplement on prepositions is now integrated into the main text, and occurrences of the same word within a verse are printed on separate lines and individually numbered for easier counting. Additionally, special new Greek fonts enhance printing clarity.
