Vypravěčka, chvíli žena, chvíli svině (nikoli však svině v tom smyslu, jak ho užíváme často v češtině), většinou něco na cestě mezi jedním a druhým, je mírumilovná bytost zcela ponořená do svého problému postupného proměňování, jež zpočátku nechápe, později shledává příjemným prostředkem, jak se stát sama sebou, bytostí vlastně nadřazenou všemu dění kolem, podivným poměrům ve společnosti.
