V srpnu 2018 se tehdy patnáctiletá Greta Thunberg rozhodla nejít do školy a začít před švédským parlamentem svou pravidelnou páteční stávku za klima, čímž zažehla jiskru globálního hnutí bojujícího s klimatickou krizí a inspirovala miliony studentů ke stávkám za planetu.
