Michael Levy je profesorem angličtiny na University of Wisconsin, Stout. Je autorem knihy 'Natalie Babbitt' (1991) a 'Portrayal of Southeast Asian Refugees in Recent American Children's Books' (2000), editorem knihy 'The Moon Pool' od A. Merritt (2004) a spolueditorem recenzovaného časopisu Extrapolation. Levy získal v roce 2007 cenu Clareson Award za vynikající služby v oblasti science fiction a fantasy.
