Jak nacističtí váleční zločinci utíkali Fascinující pojednání o nacistických zločincích, kteří unikli spravedlnosti ve zmatku poválečných let – a o těch, kdo se je snažili vystopovat. Na vzorku několika nacistů – např. Josefa Mengeleho, Adolfa Eichmanna nebo Franze Stangla – autor popisuje jejich únik z Německa a odhaluje, kdo jim pomáhal utéct a založit novou existenci v zahraničí. Sleduje, kdo se naopak pustil do úkolu vyhledat je v těchto nových domovech – nejznámější mezi nimi je Simon Wiesenthal. Přístup autora je sympaticky obrazoborecký: Wiesenthala označuje za „lháře, a ještě k tomu špatného", nezdržuje se mnoha konspiračními teoriemi, které se na námět za léta nabalily. Jako nadaný vypravěč dokazuje, že pravda může někdy být ještě bizarnější než románová fikce.
