I přes expresivní zpracování nechybějí v téhle komiksové biografii důležité údaje, jako jsou data, místa a jména osob, jež nejsou v žádném případě smyšlená ani náhodná. Der charismatische Rapper 2Pac wird als Heiliger und Märtyrer des HipHop verehrt. Tupac Amaru Shakur, geboren am 16. Juni 1971 in Brooklyn, New York, wurde am 7. September 1996 in Las Vegas erschossen und starb sieben Tage später an seinen Verletzungen. Die genauen Umstände seines Todes sind bis heute ungeklärt. Trotz seines frühen Todes mit nur 25 Jahren war er einer der erfolgreichsten amerikanischen Rap-Musiker, und die Verschwörungstheorien um seinen Tod machten ihn zum Mythos. Der Comic berichtet von Tupacs Jugend im New Yorker Ghetto, seiner Karriere im Musikbusiness und seinen Drogenerfahrungen, die ihn häufig mit dem Gesetz in Konflikt brachten. Seine Karriere begann 1990 mit der HipHop-Formation Digital Underground, und sein Debütalbum erschien 1992. Ein Wettkampf mit Snoop Doggy Dogg um den Titel des umstrittensten Bad Boys des HipHop prägte seine Laufbahn.
