Montague Summers

    Augustus Montague Summers byl anglikánským knězem a později konvertoval k římskokatolické církvi, známý především svým vědeckým dílem o anglickém dramatu 17. století a také svými studiemi o čarodějnicích, upírech a vlkodlacích, přičemž ve všechny tyto bytosti vyznával. Jeho dílo se vyznačuje hlubokým zájmem o okultní a nadpřirozené jevy, které zkoumal s akademickou pečlivostí. Proslul především prvním anglickým překladem nechvalně známého manuálu na lov čarodějnic z 15. století, Malleus Maleficarum. Jeho přístup byl jedinečný, neboť v těchto jevech upřímně věřil a zároveň je podroboval detailnímu bádání.
