Zakázané dějiny lidstva se zabývá dávnou historií způsobem, jaký dosud žádná kniha nepodala: vysvětluje a ilustruje změny v DNA, k nimž došlo v průběhu tisíciletí, a ukazuje, jak se lidstvo vyvinulo do dnešní podoby. Jsou zde objasněna některá „horká místa“ lidských dějin, která zůstávala buď neznámá, nebo o kterých se uvažovalo pouze z mytologického hlediska, například: Atlantida, Trója, Šambhala a Hyperborea.
