Dorothy Edwardsová byla velšská spisovatelka, která se ve své tvorbě zabývala tématy společenských nerovností a národní identity. Její dílo, ačkoliv psané v angličtině, silně čerpalo z jejího velšského původu a politického přesvědčení. Edwardsová se vyznačovala pronikavým vhledem do lidské psychiky a její próza často zkoumala složité vztahy a vnitřní konflikty postav. Její jedinečný styl a hloubka myšlení zanechaly nesmazatelnou stopu v literatuře své doby.
