The Polish Theatre of the Holocaust offers a new perspective on Polish theatre and is the first monograph in Poland dedicated to the issues of theatre and the Holocaust. It is not a book about the history of theatre, but rather about the deep processes occurring in Polish culture as revealed through the theatrical medium, concerning the history of collective thought and emotions. It addresses fundamental questions about our identity and contributes to the work of self-awareness among Poles.
