    Howard Chandler Robbins Landon byl americký hudební vědec, novinář, historik a rozhlasový pracovník. Je známý především svým úsilím znovuobjevit rozsáhlé dílo Josepha Haydna, které bylo dlouho přehlíženo, a objasňováním nedorozumění týkajících se Wolfganga Amadea Mozarta. Jeho práce se zaměřovala na detailní hudební analýzu a historický kontext, čímž významně přispěl k rehabilitaci těchto skladatelů v povědomí hudební veřejnosti.
