Although photographer Harry Weber once said his biggest mistakewas returning to Vienna, his final book reveals a deep affection forhis native city. Prior to his death in 2007, Weber shot more than30,000 photos that weave a personal portrait of his hometown, andnearly 500 full-color photographs appear in the voluminous ViennaProject, capturing the essence of the city where Weber derivedenormous creativity and inspiration. The collection also containsWeber's autobiographical notes, a 65 page manuscript that focusespredominantly on his Jewish upbringing in Vienna during the secondWorld War and the trauma he suffered through Nazi terror.
