Ernst von Aster, ein deutscher Philosoph, wurde 1880 in Berlin geboren und lehrte nach seinem Studium in München an der Universität Gießen. Aufgrund politischer Verfolgung wurde er 1933 ins Exil nach Schweden geschickt und fand später in der Türkei neue Lehrmöglichkeiten. Sein Leben spiegelt die Herausforderungen und Veränderungen der politischen Landschaft seiner Zeit wider.
