Der Autor (Jahrgang 1920) war 52 Jahre lang als Pastor, Evangelist, Rundfunkprediger und Autor tätig. In seiner Autobiographie begründet er sein Selbstverständnis als „Kanzeltäter“: „Im Jakobusbrief wird (allerdings der Hörer) dringend aufgefordert, Täter des Wortes zu sein. In diesem Sinne wollte ich auch Täter sein, zumal ich immer den Standpunkt vertreten habe, dass ich nicht nur anderen predige, sondern auch mir selbst.“ Mit markanten Sätzen gewürzt, entsteht in diesem Vermächtnis ein eindrückliches und humorvolles Lebenswerk, das durchaus noch nicht abgeschlossen ist.
