Ausführlichen Hinweisen zur Herstellung des eigenen "Vin maison" folgen Rezepte, basierend auf frischen Tafelweinen. Bis so ein Hauswein fertig ist, muss man sich schon mal ein Jahr gedulden. Aperitifs wie Pastis, Sherry, Vermouth oder Dubonnet werden geschildert. Daneben alkoholfreie Aperitifs wie Limettenlimonade oder AnanasFrapée. Ausgesprochen anregend sind die kleinen Gerichte, wie Datteln mit Parmesan, eingelegter Ziegenkäse oder Feigen im Speckmantel, für deren Zubereitung man sich schon etwas Zeit nehmen muss. Im Anhang Bezugsquellen, und Literaturhinweise. Das Buch ist selber ein "Appetitmacher" und kann sehr gerne empfohlen werden. Die Vorauflage (nicht im Besprechungsdienst) lag zum Vergleich nicht vor, ist aber seitengleich und kostete damals DM 39.90. Da ist vorliegende Ausgabe ausgesprochen preiswert. (2)
