As spring arrives in Three Pines, the village begins to awaken after winter, but not everything buried should resurface. Amid preparations for a special celebration, Armand Gamache and Jean-Guy Beauvoir are troubled by the return of a young man and woman, once children whose lives were shattered by their mother's murder.
