Kniha zajímavým způsobem pojednává o závislosti civilizace na elektřině a o tom, jak křehká naše civilizace ve skutečnosti je. Zpočátku se představuje několik postav, jejichž příběhy spolu zdánlivě nesouvisejí, ale postupně se jejich cesty protnou. Děj je místy napínavý a kniha mě bavila. Určitě můžu doporučit.

Když jsem tuto knihu před rokem četla a doporučovala jsem ji kolegům, smáli se, že je to jen fikce a proč by ji měli číst, když tento druh literatury jim nic neříká... Nicméně dnes už je jasné, že blackout začíná být realitou. Jak jednou řekl člověk, kterého si pro jeho zkušenosti a moudrost velmi vážím: Není to o tom zda, ale kdy! Knihu doporučuji nejen proto, že je dobře psaná, nechybí v ní napětí, ale také proto, že nás může připravit na to, co jednou prostě nastane.
