Two dogs, one meeting, and a journey of adventure! Michael Blumley, the Duke of Loriton, is seen by his peers as an eccentric scholar, uninterested in gossip or social events. However, he agrees to look after his aunt's poodle for a time. Elizabeth "Bitsy" Dockering, the third daughter of a viscount, has become the diamond of the season and is adored by all, especially her black poodle. When the two dogs and their owners meet in the park, chaos ensues, leading to an accidental swap of poodles. To make matters worse, both dogs are soon kidnapped. Michael and Bitsy have no choice but to search for them together across London, all the while increasingly realizing that their connection goes beyond just the quest to find their dogs.
