The narrative follows 19-year-old Erin as she embarks on a transformative journey through Iceland, Greenland, and Canada to Alaska. Her mission is to document the disparities in individualism and freedom between men and women, particularly through the lens of survivalism and the "Mountain Man" ethos. To conclude her expedition, Erin intends to live in an Alaskan cabin, drawing inspiration from Thoreau, while exploring these themes from a feminist perspective.
