This is a novel about making peace with your past and finally discovering the person you were always meant to be. In 1999, two women with the same name, who were friends at school, made very different life choices. One walked away from being a minor celebrity into a life so obscure she eventually became homeless. The other walked in through the gates of a convent to take on a new name and completely new existence. Sixteen years later, they have both walked away from those choices. When circumstances bring them back together, they form a strange friendship, and discover the reasons for wanting to leave their past behind aren't so different after all.
