Most significantly, his encounter with Chloé, formerly Leopold, disrupts his world. As a mentor, she offers him a hopeful perspective until a life-altering event changes everything once again. Y's Revenge is a plea for diversity, illustrating that the self is not primarily determined by chromosomes.
