For our drunken anti-hero, a YBA-style painter whose moment in the spotlight has long since faded, life is looking bleak. His curator girlfriend has dumped him; the only dealer with any time for him is the one who sells him drugs; and he's reduced to snaffling free drinks at endless private views.
