Craven píše na první pohled úsporně a občas narazíte na trochu kostrbatější popisy, možná i kvůli překladu. Zpočátku šetří i humorem, ale postupně ho přidává a právě tahle linka, i když není hlavní, mě na knize opravdu bavila. Chemie mezi hlavními postavami funguje skvěle a pocítíte ji už po pár stránkách, navíc se přirozeně rozšiřuje i na vedlejší charaktery. Craven evidentně zná policejní prostředí velmi dobře, díky čemuž působí všechno autenticky a nenuceně. Významnou roli ve vyšetřování hraje moderní technika, která vám připomene, jak důkladně je Británie pokrytá kamerovým systémem.
