Pepe Rodriguez reveals how, despite prohibitions, the majority of the clergy maintain sexual relations. He further demonstrates the lack of theological legitimacy for obligatory celibacy, and analyzes the interests that motivate the Catholic hierarchy to force pathological and/or criminal sexual habits upon the clergy. The author defends the right for priests to marry and have dignified sexual lives. He also denounces, through documented cases, many present-day monks that are guilty of sexual misconduct--on minors and adults--as well as bishops who hypocritically cover up such abuses.
