This book is a historical investigation into the centrality of monogamy in our constructions of love and its mechanisms of imposition. It is a conceptualization of monogamous thought and an analysis of its influence on forms of collective organization, from the couple to the nation-state or activist groups. It is also an embodied narrative of personal romantic failures, as well as a sharp questioning of a polyamory that does not transcend the monogamous construct and focuses only on accumulation. This bastard essay dismantles our forms of relationship from the ground up, in an attempt to stop the confrontation and make us ungovernable: no more emotional corpses in our lives, neither private nor collective.
