Lalla-Lee tightly grasped my arm and insisted, "Most Beloved Sister, there is one thing you must know!" A pang of fear struck my heart. I resisted, saying I did not want to know. Yet, Lalla-Lee pressed on, and suddenly, the enchanting sounds of nature faded away. "Most Beloved Sister," she continued, "when Salikons roses wither, then I will be dead." Astrid Lindgren, born in 1907 and passed in 2002, was a renowned Swedish author celebrated for her beloved children's series, including Pippi Longstocking and Emil in Lönneberga. She also penned enchanting fantasy novels like Mio my Mio and Ronia the Robber's Daughter. Beyond her literary contributions, Lindgren was an advocate for children's and animal rights. By January 2017, she became the eighteenth most-translated author globally and the fourth most-translated children's writer, with her works selling around 144 million copies worldwide. This collection features "Most Beloved Sister & Mirabelle," one of four short story compilations from Sweden's literary giants, including Lindgren, August Strindberg, Selma Lagerlöf, and Stig Dagerman. Novellix presents a simple yet elegant concept: small books filled with significant stories, designed for easy reading on the go.
