Tato série sleduje osudy Kinea, athénského důstojníka, který se po boku Alexandra Velikého účastní epických bitev. Po návratu do vlasti však místo slávy nachází jen hanbu a vyhnanství. S ničím jiným než se svými vojenskými schopnostmi se vydává do města Olbia, kde má za úkol vycvičit elitní jízdu místního Tyrana. Brzy však zjišťuje, že se zapletl do smrtící sítě intrik a spiknutí, kde je sám jen pěšákem v nebezpečných mocenských hrách.

    Příběh z doby Alexandra Velikého Píše se rok 333 před naším letopočtem. Kineiás a jeho řečtí druhové bojují po boku Alexandra Velikého a přispívají k vítězství nad perským vládcem Dáreiem III.     Příběh z doby Alexandra Velikého Athénský válečník Kineiás urazil dlouhou cestu od doby, kdy byl propuštěn z Alexandrovy armády a kdy ho rodné město poslalo do vyhnanství. Řekové pod jeho velením a jejich skythští spojenci porazili mocné makedonské vojsko v bitvě u svatyně říčního boha a zachránil tak svobodu Olbii - městu, jež se stalo jeho novým domovem.
