Když francouzský ministr kultury odvolá ředitele Cinémath`e que Langloise, což je jenom předehra ke květnovým nepokojům, je Cinémath`e que zavřena. Země najednou žije ve zmatku, ale tři mladí hrdinové si toho snad ani nevšimnou: byl zničen jejich malý svět a teď nevědí, co dělat. Kniha tak navíc podává dobré svědectví o oněch zvláštních událostech roku 1968, o nichž se tu vypráví v neobvyklém kontextu, kromě toho je plná sexu, a to ve všech variacích. V roce 2003 se román dočkal úspěšného filmového zpracování. Režisérem stejnojmenného filmu byl Bernardo Bertolucci. V knize uvedené ISBN 80-204-1129-1 je chybné.
