Andrea Hanna Hünniger vertelt over de jaren negentig in Oost-Duitsland. Haar generatie kent de DDR alleen uit de verhalen over vroeger, haar deel van het land ervaart de Duitse eenwording als een kaalslag, een rooftocht, een uitholling.
