Hlavně se ale odvíjí kolem krásného domu, který patriarcha Junior kdysi postavil pro bohatého zákazníka a pak získal pro sebe.

Na motivy hry ZKROCENÍ ZLÉ ŽENY Williama Shakespeara. Odkvétající Kate Battistová umí být netaktní i vzpurná, pod tvrdou slupkou však skrývá dobré jádro, jež se nezapře při práci ve školce nebo v zahradě. Když ji sebestředný otec-mikrobiolog umluví, aby vstoupila do fingovaného sňatku s kolegou a zajistila mu zelenou kartu, schyluje se ke srážce vesmírů, neboť Rus Pjotr Ščerbakov je silná osobnost a „stará škola“.
