Zavražděná! Žádnej správnej chlap, hodnej toho jména, to nemůže nechat jen tak. A Marv je správnej chlap. Proto se po hlavě vrhá do nebezpečného pátrání, které ho bude stát klid a možná i život. Protože Město hříchu je i Městem bez slitování. Sin City je právem kult. Patří k tomu nejlepšímu, co kdy v komiksu vzniklo. Geniální atmosféra, geniální scénář, geniální kresba. Geniální kombinace atmosféry, scénáře a kresby. Geniální Frank Miller.

Na počátku devadesátých let série Sin City Franka Millera dokázala prolomit veškeré dosavadní konvence a způsobit revoluci ve světě komiksových příběhů. Frank Miller napsal a nakreslil dohromady sedm dílů Sin City. Ty dostaly snad každé myslitelné komiksové ocenění a dočkaly se dvou filmových zpracování, spolurežírovaných samotným Frankem Millerem a Robertem Rodriguezem. Premiéra druhého filmu s názvem Ženská pro kterou bych vraždil bude 21. srpna 2014.

Druhá kniha ze série Sin City – Město hříchu vznikla v podobě šesti samostatných sešitů, na rozdíl od předešlého dílu Drsný sbohem (vyšlo v roce 2005), který byl původně členěn na třináct krátkých pokračování. Kniha je kompaktnější, děj svižněji ubíhá a o zvraty není nouze. Kresba je propracovanější, s výraznější hrou světel a stínů. Podle vnitřní chronologie série Sin City se děj odehrává částečně před a sousledně s dějem prvního dílu série – Drsným sbohem. Proto se zde opět můžeme setkat s Marvem (ve filmu Sin City ho ztvárnil Mickey Rourke). Dwight McCarthy je hlavní postavou také třetího pokračování Sin City – Velká tučná zabijačka, které vyšlo v roce 2006.

Byl to jeho poslední den ve službě, před odchodem do předčasného důchodu. Policista John Hartigen dodělával papírování a těšil se domů na šťavnaté steaky. Jeden z jeho předchozích případů ho na poslední chvíli dohnal a zavedl do přístavu, kde pedofilní syn radního Roarka věznil jedenáctiletou holčičku Nanncy Callahanovou. Konfrontace Hartigana a Roarka se sice odehraje hned na prvních stránkách této čtvrté knihy ze série Sin City – Město hříchu, ale její dozvuk nakonec obsáhne 220 stran z této druhé nejdelší knihy série. Čtvrtý svazek Sin City se podle vnitřní chronologie série odehrává před Drsným sbohem i před Ženskou, pro kterou bych vraždil. Přesto se opět setkáme se známými postavami a prostředími. John Hartigen rozšiřuje Millerovu galerii drsných chlapů, kteří jsou pro pravdu a lásku krásných žen ochotni jít až za hranici zákona a obětovat prakticky cokoli kromě své cti.

Zároveň s ním přijíždí i čerstvě ženatý poručík Gordon, který vstupuje do policejního sboru a zjišťuje, že poctivý polda to v něm nebude mít snadné. Temný a syrový příběh patří spíš do kategorie „detektivka drsné školy“ než superhrdinský komiks. I v podání malíře Davida Mazzucchelliho je Gotham spíše „do špíny zamilované velkoměsto“ než gotický lunapark známý z filmů. U knihy je množství bonusů, včetně původních náčrtků, scénářů a minikomiksů!

Komando policajtů dorazilo moc rychle a Marv, přestože nebyl nikdy myslitel, pochopil, že tady něco smrdí. Policajtům utekl a Goldii přísahal, že ji pomstí. Přes mrtvoly, nekonečnou řadu mrtvol se Marv propracovává dál a dál a hledá další a další skládačky. Baví ho to - Marv je psychopat a není to dobrý, když si zapomene vzít svý léky...

Dwight McCarthy se pokusí pomoci své současné přítelkyni, zbavit se neodbytného bývalého ctitele. Situace se nevyvine přesně podle jeho představ a nakonec to všechno skončí usekanými hlavami, vybuchujícími auty a hlavně velkou tučnou zabijačkou.
