Více o knize
Exploring the intersection of technology and colonial anxieties, this work delves into late 19th and early 20th-century geoengineering projects aimed at climate alteration. It reveals how figures like French planners and German architect Herman Sörgel envisioned transformative schemes, such as the creation of a man-made Sahara Sea and the Atlantropa project. By examining these ambitious initiatives, the author highlights the blend of environmental pessimism and technological optimism that continues to influence contemporary climate discussions and actions.
