Die Bande des Schreckens

The story unfolds with Clay Shelton, a notorious conman, who shoots a police officer during his arrest and faces execution. As his last wish, he gathers those involved in his capture to foretell his vengeance. After his hanging, the warnings fade until Inspector Long narrowly escapes an assassination attempt. Mysterious deaths claim the prosecutor, judge, and executioner, with sightings of a supposedly dead Shelton. Skeptical of the supernatural, Long investigates, discovering only bricks and a list of targets in Shelton's coffin.
