Angesichts steigender Personal- und Materialkosten sowie sinkender Bildungsqualität wird die Notwendigkeit einer staatlichen Verpflichtung zur Förderung von Bildung betont. Die steigende Nachfrage nach Privatschulen wirft die Frage auf, ob Bildung zunehmend als Handelsware betrachtet wird. Die Analyse basiert auf der PISA-Studie und reflektiert die gesellschaftlichen und politischen Implikationen dieser Entwicklungen.
Shorter product life cycles, high product flop rates and an increasing heterogeneity of consumer needs have recently put considerable pressure on the innovation activities of manufacturers. The collaboration with users in open innovation processes has been promoted as a powerful approach for companies to succeed in today’s competitive environment. However, little is known about what drives these user innovators to contribute their time and effort to the creation of new products. Yet, a deep understanding of the motivation of user innovators represents an important first step for manufacturers to improve the nature of this type of cooperation. Robert Motzek’s study investigates the motivational profiles of user innovators from a manufacturer’s point of view. Since lead users and tool kit users can to a very high extent be involved in the firm’s innovation process, this report will focus on the integration of those two types of users. The analysis will be supported by two exploratory case studies of Spreadshirt and Threadless, two companies which have successfully based their business models on the integration of user innovators. The study will identify the most important factors controlling user innovators’ motivation and will derive suggestions on how manufacturers can address these points in order to tap the full potential of user innovation for their new product development.

Denn Bollmann liebt den FC Energie so sehr wie seine Frau Waltraud und überwindet dabei alle Schmerzgrenzen. Nach dem Saisonende will er die Cottbuser Mannschaft zum Grillen in seine Laube einladen. Aber nur, wenn sie die Klasse hält.
Bei der Entscheidung zwischen Bundeswehr und Zivildienst hatte ich eigentlich nur zwei Bilder im Kopf: Wie ich mit der Zahnbürste Latrinen schrubbte oder alten Leuten den Arsch abwischte. Beim Bund würde ich in jedem Falle mit einem Haufen Idioten irgendwo festsitzen, neun Monate sinnlosen Scheiß fabrizieren und eine eklige Uniform tragen müssen. Als Zivi würde ich zehn Monate zusammen mit aufgeblasenen Wohltätern irgendeinen halbwegs sinnvollen Scheiß machen, sobald ich ein bescheuertes Begründungsschreiben verfasst hatte. Ich würde weiter zu Hause wohnen und meine Freizeit genauso sinnlos verplempern können wie zuvor. Das hieß, außer Arbeit statt Schule würde sich in meinem Leben nichts ändern. Und wonach ich mich sehnte, war so wenig Umstellung wie möglich. Also: Zivi. Rollstuhlrennen und laute Rockmusik sind an sich nichts Ungewöhnliches - im einem Behindertenkindergarten allerdings schon. In seinem zweiten Roman lässt Robert Motzek den Leser hautnah miterleben, wie der Zivi Steve Albrecht Kinder zum Lachen und Erwachsene zum Brüllen bringt.
