Focusing on sediment transport in hydraulic and river engineering, this work introduces a novel numerical model that utilizes a Lagrangian approach with force-coupling. By combining meshfree particle methods, it effectively simulates fluid-sediment interactions, employing smoothed particle hydrodynamics for fluid modeling and the discrete element method for sediment particles. The model's design allows for a detailed investigation of complex sediment transport processes, showcasing its potential for both theoretical studies and practical applications in the field.
