Astride Two Worlds is the story of my life...the happy care-free years of my early childhood in beautiful Bucovina; the difficult and disturbing years of adolescence during WWII; the harrowing, cruel and hellish existence in Communist prisons in the 1950's; my eventual freedom' to continue my studies and earn a living in Communist Romania; my experiences in the West, Italy and America. This book is an account of one individual's struggle to achieve despite all obstacles; leave to posterity an accurate and true record of man's inhumanity to man' as experienced by me first hand during the Communist regime and the cruel injustices of a life even in America in our own time. Finally, I try to rise above the historical and factual happenings and assuming certain conditions, hopefully, will materialize, I predict a more equitable and happier future for both worlds...East and West.
