Dan Sperber Životopis
Dan Sperber is a French social and cognitive scientist whose work has significantly shaped cognitive anthropology and linguistic pragmatics. He co-developed relevance theory, a key concept in understanding how meaning is conveyed and understood in communication. Sperber also pioneered the 'epidemiology of representations' approach, offering a novel perspective on cultural evolution. Dan Sperber je sociální a kognitivní vědec a antropolog. Je synem rakousko-francouzského romanopisce Manèse Sperbera. Narodil se ve Francii do rodiny nepraktikujích židů-aškenázyů. Je ateista, avšak vyrůstal v úctě k rabínským předkům a náboženským myslitelům. Vystudoval antropologii na Sorbonně a v Oxfordu. Působí na Katedře kognitivní vědy a filozofie na Středoevropské univerzitě v Budapešti a v Institutu Jeana Nicoda na École Normale Supérieure v Paříži.
