Campi and Pessina, architects from the canton Ticino in Switzerland, attained international fame through their villas constructed in Tessin in the spirit of rationalist architecture. They also first achieved renown through their conversion of Castello Montebello into a museum with a language of form that reveals their highly sensitive and original treatment of historical architectural works.This book focuses on the following central modern handling of historical works of architecture, residential dwellings (from the villa to publicly-assisted housing), as well as public buildings and urban design projects.This publication represents the first comprehensive compilation on the complete works produced by Campi and Pessina over a period of more than thirty years.
