Boccaciův Derameron, označovaný také jako " kniha krve a rozkoše". Je to mistrovské renesanční dílo, prosycené radostí, humorem, vtipem, erotikou - dílo, které oslavuje život. Tím víc překvapuje, že se zrodilo v bezprostředním střetu se smrtí. Literární odborníci dnes nedokáží přesně určit, kdy Boccacio Dekameron vytvořil.
