Dekameron je soubor sta novel o lásce rozdělených po deseti na deset dní. Příběhy si vypráví deset mladých lidí, kteří utekli z města na venkov, aby se zachránili před morem, který vypukl ve Florencii roku 1348. Dekameron napsal Giovanni Boccacio v letech 1348 až 1353. V úvodu Dekameronu je rovněž jeden z nejvýznamnějších a nejpodrobnějších popisů moru ve středověku.
