Im Rahmen der Untersuchungen wurden die sicherheitstechnischen Belange aktiver Fahrdynamikregelungen unter vier Gesichtspunkten bearbeitet: Aufarbeitung des Wissensstandes über entwickelte und geplante Systeme zur aktiven Fahrdynamik von Pkw, Sicherheitstechnische Bewertung der Systementwicklungen in ihrer Komplexität, einschließlich der Aspekte Ausfallsicherheit sowie technische Überwachung von zukünftig im Verkehr befindlichen Fahrzeugen, Erarbeitung von Anforderungen an die Typprüfung und die technische Überwachung sowie die Empfehlungen für notwendige Änderungen der Vorschriften.
