The present paper deals with the tectonic development of a part of the southeastern Central Alps in Austria. Between the Nock area and the Karawanken (SE Central Alps, Austria) studied transects through tectonic units of the East-Alpine Complex reveal a tectonic evolution which comprise the three sections pre-Alpine, early-Alpine and young to late-Alpine.
