Introduction and aim of report: on 24th and 25th of November 1999 an IPACS meeting of the DIANA group was held in Oslo. In course of discussion, the partners requested that IBMB should write a short report on its strip method for stress computation. In this report, especially the crack criterion used by IBMB should be elucidated.
