Advances in end stage renal diseases 2003

As the fourth volume in this series (published annually on the occasion of the International Conference on Dialysis organized by the Renal Research Institute, New York) this book remains faithful to the concept of its predecessors: It covers not only current technological and therapeutic issues in the field of end-stage renal diseases, but also clinical issues related to chronic kidney disease with which nephrologists and caregivers are faced. This latest volume contains, among many others, contributions on the ADEMEX study, peritoneal dialysis, vascular access, inflammation and oxidant stress. Aspects of blood purification not directly related to end-stage renal diseases are also treated, such as affinity hemodialysis for antiviral therapy.
