With the Personalbibliographien österreichischer Musikerinnen und Musiker (Personal Bibliographies of Austrian Musicians) a complete overview of the relevant Austrian bibliographical literature on music is now available for the first time. In the first two volumes about 12,000 bibliographies on a total of 2,262 musicians are recorded and commentated. These include non-independent bibliographies, records of works and roles, and exhibition catalogues as well as discographies and filmographies. The third volume provides extensive indexes to the material, using year and place of birth and death as well as general indexes of names, titles and subject terms.
